Set it and forget it

PVC is the fence you stop thinking about. No painting, no staining, no oiling, no rust — it won't rot, warp or splinter, and when it gets dusty you hose it down. On the coast that matters more than most people expect: salt air is what eventually finds the weak point in a lot of other materials.

It costs more than timber up front. Over ten or fifteen years, once you count the repainting and the board replacement you never have to do, most owners come out in front. That's the honest trade-off, and it's the one worth thinking about before you choose.

What we install

• Lattice-top panels — solid privacy below with an open square lattice section on top, for height and light without a wall.
• Picket-top panels — the same solid base finished with a run of pickets. A softer, more classic street frontage.
• Full privacy panels — a clean unbroken face where you want the yard properly closed off.
• Matching PVC gates, and panels stepped or raked to follow a sloping boundary.

It looks the same from both sides

PVC panels slot into the posts rather than being screwed to one face, so there's no "good side and bad side" and no visible fixings. That makes it an easy conversation with a neighbour on a shared boundary — nobody ends up with the rails.

Built for the sun, not just the rain

The panels we use are UV-stabilised, which is the part that matters here — cheap vinyl chalks and yellows after a few Queensland summers. Posts are concreted in, and on taller runs or exposed sites we reinforce them internally so the fence holds its line in wind.
